The Brief

 

After almost two decades off the shelves, the iconic Lynx Java scent was rereleased in 2021 just in time for the summer’s biggest football tournament. To promote this nostalgic comeback, Lynx teamed up with Meyba to create their very own retro football kit inspired by the antiperspirant can’s design; where all proceeds from the shirt sales were donated to Made By Sport, a charity that raises funds for community sports organisations across the UK. But how do we raise awareness for this new shirt and Java’s return? 

 

The Response

Inspired by retro football stickers, we decided to create the official Java FC sticker pack featuring Lynx ambassadors Chunkz, Aitch, Calfreezy and other influencers. As well as creative directing the look and feel, I had the task of hand illustrating each influencer portrait for the Java FC sticker pack. These were seeded out to each influencer featured in the pack, where they would receive a Lynx Java gift bundle including their very own shiny sticker of themselves. 

The campaign was a clear victory, generating thousands of engagement across all the influencer’s social channels, as well as selling out the limited edition kits across the country; thus funding Made By Sport and helping unite communities and give young people the confidence to succeed in life.
