Rebrand for independent food influencer

🍔 The Brief
Declend Northcott had been reviewing food online since 2019 as ‘Dining with Dec’ but needed a brand refresh once his brand had started to gain traction from more clients and a feature on BBC Northampton. Dec’s requests for the rebrand was for it to represent his personality, be scalable & recognisable, and with merch potential.
🍔 The Response
A vibrant, exciting rebrand with loads of colour and personality. To keep Dec at the forefront of the brand I illustrated his face to be the imagery for the logo.
Me and Dec decided upon using 2019’s Pantone colour of the year: ‘Living Coral’ to keep the brand looking modern and stand out from the competition. (Away from any stereotypical food colours). I decided to match this with a handpicked teal, which kept the brand looking fresh.
The typography is round and friendly to reflect Dec’s bubbly persona, with a handwritten element to add a personal feel. To add scalability, this typography can be reduced to a monogram to spell out DwD, which Dec uses for hashtags and as an alternative logo.
To complete the rebrand, I created a bespoke animated intro to be used across social on Dec’s video content, as well as an array of merchandise concepts to be used in the future.
